We make our machine washable ivory silk housewife pillowcases from the finest seamless mulberry charmeuse silk. It has a heavy weight of 19 momme with a 400 thread count – you can feel the quality the moment you touch it.

Silk is also marvellous for your hair and skin. Wrinkles appear reduced and you can say goodbye to frizz in the morning. Exquisitely soft to the touch, with the best drape of all fabrics, you simply can’t buy a better silk pillowcase.

This pillowcase comes in a classic ivory colour in a housewife style. Matching Oxford style pillowcases, ivory silk sheets and duvet covers are available separately.

My friend recommended silk bed linen but I was reluctant to try as I pictured it to be cold and slippery and above all ridiculously expensive. My attitude changed when I had a chance to actually see and touch the silk linen. It wasn't cold and slippery at all but very soft and delicate. I decided to buy two silk pillow covers in the summer sale - to be safe - the price sounded fairly reasonably - and I was very excited when my order quickly arrived. I immediately washed the pillowcases in sensitive washing programme in 30 degrees and they dried quick enough to be put on the pillows. I need to say that silk does make a difference - it felt so soft and cool and I loved it. My husband also admitted that he slept better and he didn't snore as he slept on one side thorough the night. Let's hope it wasn't just a coincidence!:) I would love to buy the whole set in silk so I intend to save and eventually do this. Next item I wish to purchase is silk duvet. 30th Aug, 2012

I bought these pillowcases to hopefully have reasonably decent hair on waking up. Unfortunately this has not happened absolutely no difference!! I bought the pillow case because I had heard that its good for my hair and preventing wrinkles. These cases not only feel wonderful to sleep on, not cold and not hot, its the optimal temp. I am actually amazed that when I wake up my hair is the same as I went to bed. Obviously its too soon to tell if its good for my skin my I dont wake up with the red creased pillow marks on my face. I ordered this product after hearing that silk pillowcases were good for curly hair. It definitely has been enjoyable to sleep on and has really limited the amount of frizz my hair has after sleeping. I also noticed it helps keep the curls' shape defined. It is smooth and extremely comfortable to sleep on. I recommend it for anyone who wants a pillowcase which is more gentle on the skin. Don't worry, it does not feel like you are slipping or sliding on it at all. The seller was excellent to deal with. Having read that sleeping on a silk pillowcase helps keep wrinkles at bay and being the wrong side of 50 I bought these together with a silk eyemask, not cheap but much better value than the high street and I have to say I no longer have that 'creased look' in the mornings. This pillowcase is incredibly comfortable to sleep on especially if you have sensitive skin and it also reduces the number of "sleep wrinkles" you have when you wake up in the morning! There are no buttons or zippers it just slips easily over your pillow with an overlap of fabric at the back. No washing instructions came with the pillowcase but I just put it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle and it came out perfectly. I live in Germany and so I had this sent to a friend in London who forwarded it on to me - it would be great if the seller shipped internationally or at least to the continent as I had no luck finding a silk pillowcase here in any of the department stores. I am going to buy another pillowcase soon so that I can always have one on my bed - they are that good!!! 8th Nov, 2011
