Is it better to wear cotton or wool socks? 

Well, both materials offer different things so it is not a case of better but what is better for you. Cotton socks are naturally breathable and are often better for everyday use. They are hypoallergenic so if you are prone to sensitive skin, these socks would be a better option for you. Wool socks are brilliant at keeping in heat so they are perfect for those chilly winter nights and will keep you drier if your feet get wet in comparison to cotton socks!

What percentage of merino wool socks are the best?

It’s hard to say which is the best when it comes down to preference. If you prefer cheaper alternatives but still  have the added benefits of moisture-sicking and odour resistance, then less than 50% will be ideal for you. However, if you  want to take full advantage of merino wool then more than 80% is the best. It offers increased warmth and softness. 

How do I wash Merino Wool Socks?

It is always best to read the label first as information may differ slightly. Merino wool socks are best washed with cold water and a small amount of mild detergent. Let them soak for 5-10 minutes before gently squeezing out the water. Make sure you don't wring it and damage the material and air dry flat!
