Silk Care

Jasmine Silk bedding and other silk accessories are easy to look after and last for years with little care. All our silk bed linen is machine washable. Follow these simple instructions to keep your silk feeling like new.

Silk Bed Linen

You can either hand wash or machine wash your silk bed linen, inside out and on their own or with similar colours in a wash bag. Wash no higher than 30°C with a gentle, non-biological detergent that has been specially formulated for washing silk, like Tenestar.

Hang your silk bed linen up to air-dry. Do not tumble-dry your silk and avoid bleach or other forms of bleaching agent because they damage the silk fibre, destroying your bed linen.

When slightly damp, iron your silk bed linen inside out using a cool iron on the inside setting.

Silk Bedding

Keep silk bedding fresh with regular airing

To maintain the freshness and natural benefits of your silk-filled duvets, pillows, and mattress toppers, air them regularly. Place them in indirect sunlight for a few hours once per season. This gentle airing process helps revive the silk, restoring its lightness, fluffiness, and insulating qualities.

Silk naturally repels dust, dirt, dust mites, odours, mildew, and moths, so frequent cleaning is not necessary or recommended.

Use protective covers

For everyday protection, we recommend using a removable, washable cover to help keep your silk bedding clean without the need for washing the item itself.

Store properly when not in use

When your silk-filled pillows or duvets are not being used, store them flat in a cool, dry place using the original storage bag provided.

Special care for bedspreads and blankets:

Please note that silk bedspreads and blankets must be dry cleaned only.
